Nestr Smart Finance launched on the LendLeap Loan Origination & Underwriting platform on March 2, 2026. As a design partner from the very start, Nestr contributed practical insights and real-world feedback throughout the entire development process, shaping the platform's functionality and usability.
The go-live marks a significant milestone: it demonstrates that LendLeap delivers in practice what modern mid-office software promises in theory — a centralised, configurable workspace where underwriting files become consistently auditable and decision-ready.
Three core operational foundations
The platform is built on three principles that Nestr and LendLeap developed together:
1. Self-configurable management
Organisations can adjust workflows, templates, rules, and conditions independently — without requiring custom development projects for process changes. This means Nestr can adapt their underwriting process to new products or regulatory changes without waiting for vendor involvement.
2. API-first architecture
The system integrates with existing tools and data sources, functioning as a central workspace rather than an isolated system. LendLeap connects with Core Banking, CRM, e-Signature, and Credit Bureau systems, pulling source data where available and reducing manual data entry.
3. AI-assisted underwriting
Artificial intelligence supports underwriters by extracting key information from uploaded documents, validating data in real time, and building consistent, auditable dossiers — while preserving human judgement in every decision. The underwriter remains fully in control.
