Nestr Smart Finance goes live with LendLeap

On Monday, 2 March 2026, Nestr Smart Finance went live with the LendLeap Loan Origination & Underwriting platform. This means LendLeap is now being used in production, and the platform is the mid-office where Nestr runs its entire underwriting and dossier process.

Nestr is our launching customer. As a design partner, Nestr has contributed insights, knowledge and hands-on experience from day one. This has demonstrably strengthened the platform in terms of functionality and day-to-day usability. The result is now visible where it matters most: in daily operations.

An underwriting system shaped around the process

Nestr provides real estate financing, including rented residential properties, mixed-use properties and commercial real estate. That requires an underwriting process that is not only fast, but also consistent, auditable and well controlled, especially for more complex cases. In production, this translates into three core principles.

1) Full control, because the platform is self-configurable and manageable
Underwriting processes change due to market developments, internal decisions and regulation. LendLeap is designed so organisations can configure and manage workflows themselves. This allows Nestr to stay in control of the process without relying on bespoke change projects for every adjustment.

2) API-first, so it fits into the existing chain
LendLeap is designed API-first. This makes it possible to connect data and processes with existing systems and specialist tools. The mid-office therefore does not become an island, but a place where the dossier, source data and chain steps come together in one way of working.

3) AI as an assistant, to support underwriters
At LendLeap, AI is not a standalone experiment. It is an assistant that supports underwriters where it is safe and useful. It helps reduce manual work, speeds up dossier building and supports the creation of a consistent, auditable and decision-ready dossier. This creates more time for expert judgement, where underwriters make the real difference.
